Job Description :

Position Overview: 

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Factory Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our footwear manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing factory operations, optimizing production efficiency, maintaining quality standards, and leading a workforce in the footwear industry. This role is critical to ensuring smooth production, timely delivery, and operational excellence.  

Key Responsibilities:

• Operations Management: Oversee daily factory operations, including production planning, scheduling, and resource allocation to ensure on-time and cost-effective output. 
• Footwear Production Expertise: Apply industry-specific knowledge of footwear manufacturing processes, materials, and machinery to optimize efficiency and reduce waste. 
• Team Leadership: Lead, train, and motivate factory staff and supervisors to achieve production targets while maintaining high morale and a safe working environment. 
• Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with company quality standards and customer specifications; implement corrective actions when necessary. 
• Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve overall operational effectiveness. 
• Health & Safety: Enforce safety standards and compliance with local labor laws and industry regulations. 
• Inventory & Supply Chain: Coordinate with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials, minimize downtime, and maintain optimal inventory levels.
• Reporting & Analysis: Monitor KPIs, prepare operational reports, and provide data-driven insights to senior management for decision-making. 

Qualifications & Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or related field. 
• Minimum 5–7 years of experience in factory operations management, preferably in the footwear industry. 
• Strong knowledge of footwear production processes, machinery, materials, and quality standards. 
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop large teams. 
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making abilities. 
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams. 
• Proficiency in production management software and MS Office Suite. • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. 

Preferred Attributes: 

• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies. 
• Familiarity with sustainability practices in footwear production. 
• Multilingual skills (depending on factory location) is a plus.
