Job Description :

Job Purpose

To plan, lead, and control all production activities within the cashew kernel processing facility, ensuring maximum productivity, consistent product quality, cost efficiency, and compliance with food safety and operational standards.


Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Production Planning & Control
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules for all processing stages (shelling, drying, peeling, grading, packing).
  • Monitor production targets and adjust resources to meet deadlines.
  • Optimize yield and reduce wastage through process improvements.
  1.  Quality & Food Safety Compliance
  • Ensure kernels meet customer specifications and grading standards.
  • Enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and food safety standards (HACCP, ISO, BRC, FSSC 22000).
  • Prevent infestation and maintain hygiene across all areas.
  1. Workforce Management
  • Supervise and guide shift supervisors and production staff.
  • Provide on-the-job training and skill enhancement for workers.
  • Ensure discipline, safety, and motivation among team members.
  1.  Process Optimization
  • Review and improve process flow to reduce cycle times.
  • Identify and eliminate bottlenecks in production.
  • Implement and monitor Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  1.  Inventory & Cost Control
  • Coordinate with stores to ensure adequate raw material and packaging supplies.
  • Track production costs, control overheads, and improve cost efficiency.
  • Maintain ERP records for production and inventory accurately.
  1. Reporting & Coordination
  • Prepare and submit daily production reports and variance analyses.
  • Work closely with quality control, maintenance, and procurement teams.
  • Escalate operational issues to Factory Manager promptly.

Qualifications: 

  • Education-Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Management, or related field.
  • Proficiency in English is preferred 
  • Strong knowledge of cashew processing stages, yield optimization, and grading.
  • Experience with food safety audits and compliance.
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
